Do you ever get tired of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star? Sometimes I find myself singing the Wheels on the Bus in the Harris Teeter aisles (since I spend most of my waking moments in that over-priced grocer)! Lucky for all of us, I recently stumbled across the coolest lullaby music I have ever heard: Rockabye Baby!
Born of the need to make children’s music cool not only for babies, but for parents too, Rockabye Baby has lullaby renditions of many incredible artists. My faves are Lullaby Renditions of Coldplay, U2, Green Day, Smashing Pumpkins and Bob Marley. I downloaded my favorites from each artist on iTunes and made a mix cd for my children. My twins love it and instantly calm down when they hear the soothing xylophone. Even my 7-year-old loves it and falls asleep to it every night. I love it because I’m reliving my glory days when I’m humming “Today” by Smashing Pumpkins and we’re all just happy as clams!
You can find Rockabye Baby! on iTunes, Amazon or even in local children’s boutiques. I would recommend checking them out online and you can pick and choose your favorite songs. I will for sure give this as a fun add-on for my next baby shower. This music rocks for all ages!

I have the Cure lullaby CD and I love it. It’s so neat to hear songs I listened to in high school playing as a lullaby in my son’s room. Am I old or what??!!

I bought a bunch of these tunes from different artists off of iTunes and we love them! They sound so wonderfully sweet and we really enjoy singing along in our heads.
