I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and enjoyed your time with family and friends. If you had a live tree this year then remember you can recycle your Christmas tree. You can always take your tree to a full service recycling center. Here are a few other suggestions to help you recycle your tree!
* If you live in the city of Charlotte you can set the tree out curbside to be picked up starting Dec. 26th through the first week of January 2010.
Check out Earth 911 to find drop off locations to recycle your tree.
Some Ikea stores will accept trees for recycling. I called and unfortunately, the Charlotte location does not. Maybe next year? Hint hint.
Remember the recycled trees will have many uses and many are recycled into mulch for city parks, etc.

Let this be the start of a year of reduce, reuse and recycle! Start with your tree and continue throughout the year. Remember to reuse bags, tissue paper, ribbons and more. Recycle cardboard boxes and save your batteries to take to a recycling center!!!! Do not throw them in the garbage. Happy Holidays and wishing you the best in 2010!
