So I discovered a new product that I have to share with moms, but you don’t have to be a mom to really need it. It is Dry Shampoo. And I love it. If you are like me, you wake up on days with full intentions of exercising so you don’t wash your hair. But the day gets away from you and you have spent most of it running around with the kids, your hair pulled back in a flat pony tail.
I read about Dry Shampoo in InStyle magazine. It refreshes your hair and allows you to go without washing it everyday. I went to Ulta at Cotswold and bought Ojon. It comes in an aerosol can, and you just spray your roots or anywhere you feel your hair may be greasy. I have fine, blond hair and it works great on my hair type. Now I can get up in the mornings and fix my hair without investing in 15 to 20 minutes in blow drying it. And it looks like I just washed it. The only problem is that the can clogged, but I was able to exchange it for a new one. I was told that this is very common with this brand, so it may happen again. Sephora sells a bunch of brands of Dry Shampoo. I heard that Bumble and Bumble makes a version, but it is more expensive and does not work as well.
Although Dry Shampoo is pricey (I saw pricing listed anywhere from $11 – $24), I think it is totally worth it. I am thrilled about the extra 20 minutes that I get once or twice a week.

I just bought Dry Shampoo (my hairstylist told me to go out and get it), and I got it from Sally’s Beauty Supply. It is called Batiste and comes in a light green aresol can with a darker green top. It works great! And the best part, it is only $6.99If you don’t want to spend a lot of money, I would got get this kind of Dry Shampoo first to see if you like it.Hope this helps.
I can’t wait to buy this! Thank you so much for the tip. I too have fine hair and would love to have this as a back-up plan.
I had no idea this stuff even existed!! I have long hair that takes forever to dry – this is going to be great!! thanks!!
I have curly hair and I would not advise using Dry Shampoo on this texture- it makes you have a frizzy fro! But I would love some curly hair suggestions!
For those with blond hair, a little baby powder sprinkled on, combed through and then take a hair dryer and fluff a bit and it works just a well, been doing that since high school with good results and for pennies!
Aveda makes something that you put on your roots for a little lift and no time for shampooing. It comes in a small little bottle, but lasts for a long time.
I purchased the Ojon a few months back after reading about it in Self magazine. It is wonderful!!! It especially adds volumet to fine hair!
I use baby powder as well and find that it works wonders.
Do these dry shampoos work with dark hair? or would it look like dandruff?
