For my birthday in March, I received a subscription for Ipsy’s Glam Bag. The Glam Bag is the basic subscription, but they also have a Glam Bag Plus and an Ultimate Glam Bag. The Glam Bag starts at $12 a month and contains beauty products that would total $50+. You can also get add-ons if you wish.
First you create an account and take a beauty questionnaire about your skin type, shade, what you wear most, and the shades you prefer to insure the best products and shades for you. I don’t have much experience, if any at all, about makeup, but Ipsy has articles and tips about how to wear any product, including everything you receive.
Each month I track my package on the website and count down the days until it comes! A few days before it arrives the website lets you see what products you are getting that month but I try my hardest not to peak! The pretty pink package arrives within the first two weeks of the month. Within the package is a colorful makeup bag, which will be perfect for traveling or putting in your purse and inside the makeup bag are five beauty products that I always love and have so much fun trying out.
I have a few favorite products that have been in my bags so far. Berry+Juice Gel Gloss by Seraphine Botanicals is such a pretty and natural shade. Ipsy is amazing about matching shades with your skin tone. Staying with lip products, my new most favorite lip gloss is Tarte H2O, and I also adore Lasting Smiles Peach Blossom Lip Balm. I have received two skin care masks so far in my Glam Bags.
AHAVA 24K Gold Mineral Mud mask is such a fun mask because it makes your face gold when you put it on! I have become obsessed with Pūrlisse Matcha Green Tea and Lemon Clay Mask because this mask works magic, and feels amazing! After I do my Pūrlisse mask, I moisturize with Murad Hydrating Water Gel Moisturizer. Other than just loving the color and how light it feels, this moisturizer makes my face feel refreshed and hydrated. I have been playing a little bit with makeup during quarantine, and I have become a big fan of F.A.R.A.H. Blender Brush. It is a metallic pinkish purple and does a phenomenal job blending and applying eye shadow. I don’t wear bright colors for eyeshadow, just naturals, but this brush is good for everything! I have loved using Benefit’s Roller Lash Mascara that lifts and curls you eyelashes and makes your eyes seem more open, which makes them pop! My final and most favorite product is Helios Luminor Nail Polish. Mine came in a light lavender shade and lasts for ages and goes on so nicely! It lasts as long as a gel polish but is healthier on your nails. I could go on and on about how fun all of the products are!
