Oh Bins of Baby Clothes in My Attic … whatever will I do with you? I’m talking about the memories too precious to donate to Goodwill or sell at a consignment sale. Well, one Smarty reader has provided the perfect answer! Check out Ticche and Bea, The Craft of Making Memories. They specialize in making Baby Clothes Quilts, T-Shirt Memory Quilts, and T-Shirt Memory Pillows. Super duper cute and an oh so smarty way to preserve those special memories!
The baby clothes quilts come in two sizes – a smaller 25” by 25” square, perfect for hanging on the wall of tour child’s room; or the double quilt measuring 50” by 50” that can be used in a child’s bed or as a throw cover. All quilts are backed by a super soft “minky” dot fabric. Options include a “sew-it-yourself” kit where you receive all the tools needed to make your very own quilt for a minimal fee … or if sewing is not quite your thing, you can send your pre-cut squares back to Ticche and Bea and they will sew it up for you.
The T-shirt quilts are also super cute … although I can’t help but remember an episode of one of my FAVORITE shows,”Rules of Engagement” … Jeff’s Wooby … have you seen it?? Anyway, it is a 60″by 60″ quilt of all your favorite t-shirts and is bordered and backed in the same luscious minky fabric.
But don’t take my word for it, here’s what our Smarty reader, Marcia had to say:
I have three children and I had a double quilt made for each of them. The squares are from their baby clothes. You can make it yourself, or have Ticche and Bea sew it. The company has many other great offerings too. The quilts will make such beautiful memories for me and my children. My children are using the quilts in their beds now because the quilts are so warm and cozy, almost like holding a silky blankie. Plus, the quilts are just SO beautiful!
Check it out … and let us know what other great ideas you have for preserving your children’s precious clothes.

Great post! Thanks for the idea!!
Great idea! A friend made me a t-shirt quilt when I graduated college, made from my favorite college sorority/ fraternity t-shirts. I never thought of doing the same thing with baby clothes! I will keep this in mind!
