When it comes to birthday party planning, February is a conundrum. You never know what kind of weather you’re gonna get: could be snow, rain, freezing cold or pre-spring. You plan for the worst and hope for the best.
This year, we had my 4 year old’s birthday party at the Charlotte Nature Museum. It was a fabulous and turnkey birthday party experience! On the day of the party, it rained all day long so I was relieved I didn’t host 15 pre-schoolers at my house.
We had a 2 hour party and the only thing we had to do was show up. We went with the “turtle themed party” and the kids learned about turtles and interacted with 3 different types of turtles. We added on a “mammal feeding” and the kids interacted with and fed a rabbit. As part of the party, the kids also toured the entire museum.
I must give major props to Mary and Zane, our party crew at the Charlotte Nature Museum. They had the lovely job of wrangling the 15 pre-schoolers and they did a fantastic job while I wanted to poke both of my eyes out. I’ve had several parents say their children are still talking about how much fun they had.
Smarties, if you’re looking for a creative out-of-home birthday party venue, then give the Charlotte Nature Museum a look. Team Bowman hearts the Charlotte Nature Museum!
