Here is a product that is sure to make your 7-10 year old son or daughter super happy this holiday season – a Zike Fly By. My wife discovered Zike at the 2012 International Toy Fair in NYC this spring. Zike brilliantly combines the best of a scooter and the best of a bike all in one fell swoop. One lucky winner will get the Zike Fly By, your choice of six color options: dark gray, lime green, teal, pink, red and purple delivered to their front door this holiday season. The Zike is not currently sold in retail stores but can be purchased on-line from the company HQ just down the road in Greenville, SC. The recommended age for the Fly By is 7-10 and has a retail value of $249.99.
From the minute I opened the box, I knew I would like this product. Assembly took less than five minutes and required the use of only one tool, the allen wench supplied in the box. The collapsible steel welded frame is very solid and feels like a bike. The telescoping design of the handle bars allows for simple height adjustment, no adults required. The double-action chain system makes for a smooth, fast ride. The single rear drum handbrake makes slowing down and stopping safe and easy. One of my favorite features is the kickstand, yes, the kickstand. If you have ever picked up a kick scooter and had the frame spin around and hit you in the shin or tried to lean a kick scooter against your garage wall only to have it fall within seconds, you know exactly why a kickstand is so cool. There is virtually no learning curve to riding a Zike. My six-year-old grabbed the handle bars, gave one push, stood on the foot pedals, gave a few pumps of his legs and was riding within seconds.
I give Zike two thumbs up and would highly recommend to anyone looking for something fun, fast, safe and unique. The company proudly boasts selling $18,000 of product per minute on QVC on Black Friday (the goal was $9,000).
You can find all Zike products on their website, shop.zike.net, and on facebook.

I shared on facebook! This thing is awesome! My daughter’s #1 wish on her Christmas list is a scooter. She has also outgrown her bike, so this would be PERFECT! I love it. Great combo of fun and exercise. They need to make one for adults as well.
Funny you mention adults, this thing is perfect for us too. Although my kids are WAY more coordinated to do it! We have had a blast test-riding this get-up!
Ha! Maybe they’ll get around to an adult model soon. I can picture me “ziking” with my daughter around the park. 🙂 Way more fun than a stationary elliptical.
I shared this on facebook. #1 thing on my youngest daughters list is the Lego Friends Olivias House but I’m sure she would love have this since she is a very active little girl
My son would love this! His number one request for Christmas is the jenga star wars angry birds game.
Shared!! My daughters #1 item is a bow and arrow set (from Brave)….she may be the only girl who wants that AND princess barbies AND baby dolls for Xmas! With her new scooter she could practice her moving target archery skills! Merry Christmas!!!
My 5 year old daughter would love a new pet but we already have 5 so I am sad to say that will not be happening 😉 But she will get Jabba’s Palace Lego set which is #2 on her list 🙂
The number one item on my daughters list is an electric scooter! That and twister dance. She would love this scooter.
Shared this cool gift on my FB page! My daughter loves to play outdoors and would love to ride this. Her #1 wish is a new digital camera.

How awesome!! I shared on facebook, thank you!
My kids want iPads. ( I feel that we need to wait a few years on that.) I have a mountain bike for my daughter, struggling for ideas for my son as he already has a good bike. I think he’d love a Zike.
I shared…and the Zike is AWESOME! I want it….ummm…for the kids….yes, the kids. #1 on wish list….IPAD….keep dreaming little people 🙂
I would love this for my 6 years old grandson. He doesn’t have a Christmas wish list because he is Autistic and doesn’t ask for toys. He loves Thomas the Train, but we are trying to get him things like ride on items so we can work on his coordination, something that other children don’t even think about. I would to have this for him Christmas morning.
By the way I shared on facebook and liked!
My boys want any outdoor riding vehicle….a john deer tractor is on the top of their list. Just liked and about to share.

I will gladly share the the news of that cool scooter – mom toy, too! The #1 thing changes daily! We have got to get that Santa letter in the mail so there can’t be any more changes. (Though last year, they decided they could change their mind simply by leaving a little note in the care of that darn Elf!!)

Number one of my kids’ wish list this year is a Nintendo Wii! We’re going old school though — not the new U.
My sons’s number one request is an Xbox 360. Not sure if we are ready for that or not, so hoepfully we can wow him with something else! I shared this on my Facebook page.
Rollerblades!
I shared on facebook. My oldest son’s number one wish for Christmas is a real bike. He outgrew the one he has two years ago – and the peddles fell off two months ago. Seriously. It’s pathetic.
Shared on FB and Liked – With 4 boys, they all want a PS3 but that would mainly be for the 12 & 14 year old. Maybe a bike for the 4 year old, and the 7 year old wants the plush talking Darth Vadar head!
