Summertime is a time to get away, relax and have fun! Planning a road trip, or flying to a tropical locale this summer with your family? Be sure to take Charlotte Mecklenburg Library with you to add to the fun.

Here are just a few ways to enjoy the Library while you travel this summer.

Enjoy some beach reads.

Relax with a good book, whether you are at the beach literally or just in your mind. Check out a copy of one of this season’s notable beach reads, and don’t forget your sunscreen!

Make more room in your luggage with downloadable books.

Have limited space in your luggage, but want to take enough reading material for the whole trip? Try out e-audiobooks and e-books. The Library offers a wide variety of titles – from children’s to young adult to adult fiction and nonfiction. Check out all the ways to access these titles and more on the Library’s website.

Save your data with a Wi-Fi hotspot.

Renting an affordable, portable device lets you access high speed internet anywhere a cell phone signal can be received, and you can connect up to ten devices to the internet at one time! Visit the Library’s Borrower Policy page and scroll down to Rentable Wi-Fi Hotspots for details on rental fees and how to reserve a hotspot through the catalog.

Download the Library’s app to have your library on the go.

Whether you are at the beach, on the bus, or in your own backyard, your library can be nearby. If you don’t have the latest version of the app, download it today, and take your library with you. The Library app is available for iOS and Android, just search for cmlibrary wherever you download apps.
