Susie is a ray of sunshine and has such a calming presence, which is amazing given that she has a hundred jobs.

She is a yogi, a certified pre-natal yoga instructor AND an instructor at Charlotte Yoga.

She is a barre phenom, instructing at Carolina Barre & Core.

And, she is a freelance marketing consultant!

Married to: Michael Farnick (11 years)
Mom to: Callon, 2½ year old son, who was both a blessing and HUGE surprise to us

‘Hood: I’m a bit of a gypsy! Live in Ballantyne and work all over Charlotte but most of my time teaching is in Myers Park at Carolina Barre & Core.

1. What is something that most people don’t know about you?
Nothing – you just have to ask me.

2. One word that describes you?
Resilient

3. Now for the important stuff…who is your celebrity crush?
OK don’t laugh…well, please do because that’s why I LOVE him…it’s hands down Will Ferrell. Nothing is more attractive to me than someone who inspires laughter at his or her own expense.

4. What is the last meal you cooked?
Thank God I married a chef; my first official meal I cooked for him was my last. He was very gracious in offering up his culinary skills indefinitely.

5. If you wrote a parenting manual, the title would be…
What The $#%@!

6. Household chore you despise the most?
This must be a trick question. There is not one I remotely enjoy but I if had to choose I’d say cleaning the bathroom in general. I mean how do toothpaste remnants end up on the top of the mirror?

7. Behavioral trait you hope your children don’t inherit from you?
Lack of interest or sense of urgency in cleaning. Most recently my son took a full bag of chips and turned the entire thing upside down right in the middle of our den area – as I watched. I told him he had two choices…clean it up or go to time out. He chose time out! I didn’t blame him. I would have done the same thing.

8. The phrase you’ve said to Callon more than any other at home is…
Hands down the words he hears most often are…I Love You!!! We won the lottery with this little human in our lives after trying for over 7 years with no luck. He came when we least expected it. He is a daily reminder for me of God’s grace and I want him to know how much he is loved more than anything else.

9. Favorite kids’ movie?
Cars because of the character Mater

10. Household appliance you couldn’t live without?
Considering I feel like a professional laundering service probably the washing machine.

11. Funniest thing Callon has ever said to you?
When saying our prayers at night there is always something he’s thankful for that cracks me up. Most recently it went like this…”Thank you God for Daddy, Thank you God for Mommy, Thank you God for mud!”

12. Guilty pleasure or what do you do to unwind?
Unwinding = uncorking with family and friends
