Good Morning, Smarties! After weeks of rain, the sun has finally decided to show us it’s shine along with tremendous heat that has been a killer for my family. But this is summer in the south, minus the abundance of rain. I hope you are in your cool air-conditioned favorite spot now and will enjoy reading about our Smarty Mom, Eve Bailey; Senior Marketing Director at the Morrison YMCA.
This has been the perfect week to enjoy all that the Morrison Y has to offer. My kids love the incredible water park there, and the Morrison workout facilities make me feel like I am at a spa! (I hate to run outside in this heat, and The Morrison Y has plenty of machines, so I NEVER have to wait for an opening. (Love!)

A Day in your life:
Wake-up, shower and start packing for everyone’s day at the Y. During the summer, all the kids get dropped off in YMCA Childcare to spend the morning with their friends while I go to meetings and work to come up with new ideas to let Y members know what new and cool programs we are offering. After lunch, I pick-up the kids and head back to the home office and continue to work while the kids nap/relax for a few hours. Before dinner, we go outside to play with the neighbors. After Dave gets home, we eat dinner and try to get an update on everyone’s day before heading upstairs to give the kids a bath, story and put them to bed. Then – I get to sleep too!
What is something most people don’t know about you?
I don’t like spots.
Behavioral trait you hope your children don’t inherit from you?
My inability to change directions quickly. I need time to process.
Funniest thing one of your kids has said to you?
My son wanted to know if I ate clothes, would the new baby come out wearing them.
Common phrase you have said to your kids more than any other?
“You’ll get over it.”

Beach
