I think I’ll call it Crave Café. This will be my new preggers-only eating establishment. It is a judgment-free diner where mommies-to-be can order whatever they want and not have an ounce of guilt.
Now that I’m expecting baby number two (yeah!!!) I’ve discovered a new love for the culinary science in a way that may make Smarty Mom/Foodie Wendy cringe. If I could have a day of eating whatever I, or I mean – Baby B, wanted it may go something like this:
Scrambled eggs with salsa and a side of cherry pie filling and Neese’s sausage. Be clear on the sausage – only Neese’s. Also, don’t forget my one-a-day-allowed-cup-of-Joe with a splash of chocolate creamer. And maybe a piece of strawberry-rhubarb pie.
A ranch dressing sandwich with a healthy portion of almond stuffed olives on the side. For the ranch sandwich, I prefer it be only ranch, no other sandwich filler nonsense like lettuce or tomatoes. A handful of kettle corn would polish that meal off nicely.
Anything that’s not burgers. For some (terrible) reason, I have a huge aversion to burgers with this pregnancy, which is odd considering I couldn’t get enough burgers with my first baby. It really saddens me; ta-ta Bad Daddy’s until 2014! For today’s meal though, I’ll take a whole pineapple, with an Eggo waffle smeared with peanut butter and a big Kosher dill pickle.
An orange creamsicle, a chocolate covered banana, anything TCBY or more almond stuffed olives.
I may or may not have indulged in these delectable dishes at some point in my pregnancies, but it’s ok, because at Crave Café you can have whatever your palette craves.
