Children’s Day on the Farm

This annual event features hands-on children’s activities relating to colonial and antebellum farm life. Some of the day’s activities include children’s crafts, kid’s military drills, toys and games, candle making and blacksmithing demonstrations. All kinds of farm animals will be on display including the site’s newborn lambs. A 4-H petting zoo, pony rides, tractor drawn wagon rides, and family friendly foods will also be available. Poe’s dark genius has invited children and adults to love literature for over 150 years, and his eerie thrillers still haunt our imaginations today. Ages 11 and older. Cost is $14-$18.
