It is a Booty weekend Smarties! Grab the kids and head over to Myers Park to cheer on the riders participating in the 24 Hours of Booty. The riders will appreciate the support. After cheering head over to Kickstand Burgers-N-Bar, eat have a drink and 10% of the day’s sales go to a bike charity, The Spokes Group. Consignment Season is also upon us and the first sale is here. This is also a great weekend to visit our favorites, Discovery Place, ImaginOn and The Nature Museum. Get out and enjoy.

Kickstand Burgers-n-Bar is proud to host Kids Get Bikes, a day-long event to benefit The Spokes Group (Charlotte chapter), an organization whose mission is to get bikes to underprivileged kids. During a weekend when Charlotte will be focusing on major cycling events, Kickstand will donate 10% of an entire day’s sales. This “Christmas in July” event is timed to coincide with two other bike-related events in Charlotte, 24 Hours of Booty and the Uptown Charlotte Criterium.

Put on your super-hero cape and grab your galoshes because it’s time to save the world at The Magic House! From a farmer’s market to a recycling center, this exhibit teaches kids how to live green! In the house, kids learn what they can do in their own homes to help the environment. They’ll also get a chance to sit in an energy efficient car. In the research lab kids get to wear lab coats and pretend they are scientists. Parents love the “Re-Use Charity Shop”…Because they’ll find a lot of familiar toys! It’s an exhibit teaching an important message and giving kids & parents a super way to have fun! Ages 3-11.

You’ll learn the basics of geocaching, then we’ll hit the trails to find caches hidden right here at Reedy Creek. Please bring a small item of $1 – $5 value if you would like to swap items from a cache. Close toed shoes are recommended. GPS units provided, or bring your own. Ages 8 and up. Cost is free.
