This is seriously the mother of all consignment sales, since almost all the sellers have multiples! This means that generally every seller has two of everything to unload- onesies, jeans, dresses, toys, strollers, cribs, sippy cups. You name it, they have it for sale in duplicate, sometimes triplicate or quadruplicate! You do not have to have twins to shop! The Early Bird sale begins at 7:30 a.m. and costs $2 to enter. Entry is free at 8:30. They will also mark items down for a half price sale from 12:30-2:30pm. Cash only and no strollers.

Back-to-School Monster Truck Bash

The most unique vehicles in motorsports return to The Dirt Track at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Saturday, Aug. 14 for the 11th Annual Circle K Back-to-School Monster Truck Bash. Monster Trucks are typically 11-feet tall and weigh nearly five tons. Their custom-built, fuel injected engines produce between 1,500 and 2,000 horsepower. Powerful giants, such as Equalizer, War Wizard, Brutus, Samson, Raminator and Avenger have competed in head-to-head challenges on a radical obstacle course at The Dirt Track. Come and check out the Circle K Pit Party from 4 to 6 p.m.! Just visit a participating Circle K and pick up any size Thirst Buster and exchange at the front gate for entry (event ticket required). Cost is $10, 12 and under and $20 adults.

In conjunction with the Beneath the Badge exhibit, Family Day visitors will have the opportunity to interact with some of the men and women that serve our community. Observe demonstrations by the K9 Unit or view the intricacies of police boats and historical police cruisers. Learn crime prevention techniques or crime scene search tactics.
