Smarty Review – If You Take a Mouse to the Movies

I am a huge fan of the Children’s Theatre – Zoe and I have had so much fun going to shows and making a big event out of it. We go uptown, see the show and then usually go out to eat. She loves all of the activities at Imaginon and never wants to leave!

So this Saturday we were very excited to go check out their latest holiday show. All four of us went to see “If You Take a Mouse to the Movies…” It was Annie’s (my two year old) first time seeing a live show. I was worried that she might be too young, but she watched the whole show with eyes wide open. We all had a great time. It was a very cute holiday performance. We love the books by Laura Numeroff, and the live performance about a boy, his friend the mouse and their adventures was very cute. The play lasts about an hour, without an intermission. I noticed just a few minutes prior to the end, the sound of restless children – so it is perfectly timed for the attention span of kids three years old and up. The show has some really fun moments that engage the audience – from the building of a giant snowman to Christmas carol-karaoke.
