Can you believe it, October!! I will say the one thing that bothers me about Charlotte it the 80 degrees one day and 65 the next. Makes it kind of hard to get the closet organized. Children’s Culinary Cooking Class

Children love to cook & the Earth Fare culinary team loves to teach them! Join us on the 1st Friday of each month where children ages 5 thru 12 will learn important culinary skills and develop a passion for cooking! Class sizes are limited. Class fee of $5.00 per child. The Ghost Train Halloween Festival

Friday and Saturday nights, October 3-November 1, Gates open at 7:30pm
Take a ride on the Ghost Train with engineer Casey Bones and his crew to experience great Halloween fun all evening long. Guests can tour the all-new and exciting Haunted House and discover 13 spooky rooms guaranteed to both startle and test the imagination. Although some attractions are recommended for adults and older children, there are shows and attractions for the youngest of guests too. Cost is $26,children 2 and under are free. Advance tickets are required.
Big Sweep
October 4, 9:00am-1:00pm
A national base program to clean up lakes, rivers and streams and increase awareness about the protection of these resources. Go out along the shorelines of creeks and ponds for a cooperative litter sweep. Ages 5-15.

It is a celebration of life where runners and walkers of all ages gather to honor survivors who are winning the battle against breast cancer and to remember those who have lost their lives to this devastating disease.
