Lights, Camera, Action…for the Kids!
August 20, 5:30pm
Ballantyne Village Theatre
On any given day, at least 200,000 children across the U.S. find themselves alone, without a home and in need of a sign that someone cares. SeaMaster Cruises is organizing a pajama drive and movie night to benefit the local chapter of the Pajama Program. The event will take place Wednesday, August 20, at the Ballantyne Village Theater, 14825 John J. Delaney Drive, Charlotte. Family entertainment, including Zelnik the Magician, will begin at 5:30 p.m. A family movie will begin at 7:00 p.m. The event is open to the public, and the entrance fee per person is either the donation of a pair of new, cozy pajamas or $5.00 per person. All proceeds will be used to purchase additional new pajamas. Halloran suggested that children could donate the same size pajamas that they wear to help them relate to those who are less fortunate.

I have just returned from the Tent Sale at Kids Place at the Aboretum. They have tons and tons of smocked clothes by Sweet Angela and Rosalina. The average price is around $25-30 for a $75-90smocked dress. They have some awesome deals (sizes 3mo-8yr). They also have some samples and Irregular items. I got Christmas john-johns and smocked dresses that are irregular for $12! This is only going on Thursday and Friday (21st and 22nd). There was a coupon in the Observer to save 10% on $150. Don’t miss it!
