Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools Arts Activities – Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools’ students will be live on stage throughout the festival. Choirs, dance troupes, bands, orchestras, and more will be showcasing their talents. Student art will also be on display in the CMS tent, and available for purchase.
Dancing in the Streets Presented by the Charlotte Dance Festival – Ever wanted to learn how to dance but were afraid to try? Here is your chance! Free, interactive dance instruction will be available – right out on the street! Multiple styles will be taught throughout the day. Participation is encouraged but if you’re not inclined to shake your tailfeather – it’s still fun to watch!
Avenue of the Arts – Artists from around the region display original art pieces for purchase. Quality, handcrafted works ranging from watercolor to wood carvings – it is all here. Make sure to bring your wallet because you won’t want to go home empty-handed!

Get Involved with make and take crafts, Kids in the Kitchen cooking demonstrations, and many other hands-on demonstrations and projects aimed at promoting mental, dental and physical wellness. Be entertained with magicians, clowns, mascots, putting greens, rock walls and many more amusements.
