Happy Thursday to our favorite mommies and those who love our mommies! Mother’s Day is fast approaching so we put together a little Smarty guide for our hubbies. My hubby is fabulous but sometimes he needs a subtle hint for Mother’s Day. So here’s a good one and maybe not so subtle – leave this page open on your computer screen for him to see! It may just get him motivated to think of something creative.
Here are the Smarty picks of the week:
Try a new twist on traditional charm bracelets with the oh-so-Smarty Pandora Charm Bracelets.
These bracelets get your creative juices flowing and allow you to express yourself by designing your own charm bracelet with the most fabulous beads ever. Here’s how it works: Choose your bracelet in oxidized silver, sterling silver or 14k gold. Next choose your clips that separate the threaded sections in your bracelet. Then choose your beads – you can do a themed bracelet in elegant chic or I did a Bohemian blend with my children’s birth stones and stuff I like, such as pink & green stones and marine-life charms. Final step is to add spacers. What I love about these bracelets is that the beads screw on so you don’t have a loud, dangling charm bracelet but a perfectly streamlined beautiful bracelet that you designed yourself. And they make for great, relatively inexpensive gift ideas for holidays in the future since you can continually add to your bracelet. Lucky for us we have our very own Pandora shop located in Blakeney just south of Balantyne (BTW, this is a fabulous shopping plaza): Pandora in Blakeney9830 Rea Road

Great ideas. I personally love to receive art made by my children for Mother’s Day. Art Space Studio is an awesome paint your own pottery studio. The owner Hilary is wonderful and she helps make beautiful handprints and footprints of your children on tiles, plates, flower pots and mugs that can last a lifetime. She does not charge a studio fee and her prices are fantastic. She also offers ladies night out where you can enjoy complimentary wine and cheese while you paint. The website is: http://www.paintartspace.com.Also mommy bracelets are a great Mother’s Day gift. They are customized bracelets with your children’s names and birthstones on them as well as your choice of sterling silver or gold beads. They are adorable and affordable. The website is: http://www.mommybracelets.com. You can also find them on ebay or in some boutique’s around town.
I agree with the paint your own pottery idea. My sister in law recieved wine glasses painted by her kids last year. I have hinted to my husband that I would love to drink my wine out of a glass decorated by my daughter.
I was in Hallmark today and they have some neat cards where you record a message that plays when they are opened. I thought they were a neat idea for an out of town grandmother on Mother’s day, record your little ones’ voices so they can hear them.
I was just thinking how fabulous it would be if somebody (my kids and hubby) just mysteriously planted new geraniums or flowers in my planters on the front porch. I wouldn’t want to know how hard it is to shop for flowers with two little ones, how you forgot the potting soil and had to go back, or how long it took to clean up the mess because you had such terrific helpers. I just want to come home and see freshly planted flowers on either side of my front door.
