Grab your passport and get ready to set off on an adventure! Join the Charlotte Museum to learn more about the many people who make up Charlotte’s unique cultural landscape. Throughout the year, participants will:
• Encourage the continued development of courage, empathy, and compassion
• become better prepared to be successful in a multicultural world by learning cultural relativity and sensitivity
• cultivate critical thinking and leadership skills necessary for an informed, engaged, and empowered community
• develop new skills including the ability to synthesize and evaluate information all while making new friends
• build civic pride in Charlotte’s rich history
Get ready for your trip around the global Queen City by joining us for a continental kickoff on Saturday, August 25, from 10:00 am to 11:30 am at the Charlotte Museum of History. Travel the seven continents and learn about the animals, people, and buildings that call these geographic locations home. Attendees will even get to create their own three-dimensional continents! This program is FREE for anyone looking to learn.
