If you are planning to take your daughter to see the new American Girl movie, “Kit Kittredge: An American Girl”, then you may want to consider attending this special screening on Saturday, followed by a Mother-Daughter-Doll Tea-for-Three. Bring your “American Girl” or other favorite doll for the festivities.
>Hosted by Ballantyne Village Theatre and all proceeds will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central & Western North Carolina, striving to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. One of our very own, Eliza from Charlotte, was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia at age 4 1/2 (she’s now 7 and is finally finishing treatment!). Eliza dreamed of staring in Kit’s American Girl movie. Make-A-Wish made Eliza’s dream a reality by helping cast her as an extra in the film. Meet Eliza (the cutest little hobo girl in photo above:-) and see her wish come alive on July 5th.
