Happy Wednesday Smarties! Can you believe that this will be the first weekend in April! Rain and cold go away and give us one of those glorious Carolina Springs. I am always in awe at the level of talent in and around our Queen City. This is always represented in the wonderful production of the Children’s Theatre, Matthews Playhouse and Armour Theatre. Be sure to take in one of their performances this weekend. Join Smarty Pants (Team Charlotte Smarty Pants/Jen Bunich) to support Kindermourn by adopting a duck or a pack and head out to the Whitewater Center to see if you have the Lucky Duck that could win $5000. Get out and Enjoy!
Hope Floats Duck Race
U.S. National Whitewater Center
April 3, 2:00pm-5:00pm
KinderMourn’s Hope Floats Duck Race is more than “just another fundraiser.” Out of the 15,000 ducks that will splash into the Whitewater Center’s churning rapids, thousands will race in memory of a loved one. These yellow ducks remind grieving children, bereaved parents and all of us that hope does float. This fun-filled afternoon includes live music, moon bounce, magic show, face painting and lots of great food. And all of this excitement is for a very good cause.
It is our hope that you will join us again to support this terrific organization by buying a duck or pack(6) and you will also have the opportunity to win a multitude of prizes including $5,000 in cash! Best of all, there is no admission charge to this event. So bring on the sunscreen and pack up the fam!
