Smarty Alert: The Jami Masters School of Dance (JMSD) Junior Company and Company Auditions & Workshops for Fall 2019 will be held May 29th-June 1st! Auditions are open to all dancers who are rising 6th-12th graders.
On JMSD Jr Co/Company:
JMSD company dancers are trained in all genres of dance to be prepared for whatever they choose to do beyond their years at JMSD. We teach in a nurturing and kind environment.
All Company and Jr. Company dancers go through a mandatory audition. Through audition scores dancers are selected to be apart of The Company.
JMSD Audition Information:
The audition includes dance combinations of Ballet, Jazz, Modern and Tap and all are taught in workshops prior to the audition, and is run like a professional audition.

Dress Code: For girls, black leotard, pink tights, appropriate shoes for the discipline and hair in a bun. For boys, black jazz pants or tights, white t-shirt tucked in, appropriate shoes for discipline.
Junior Company Audition Time (Rising 6th-8th grade): Saturday, June 1st 9:30a-12:30p
The Company Audition Time (Rising 9th-12th grade): Saturday, June 1st 1:00-4:00p

Summer Camps:
At JMSD, there are two different Camp Options: 2-3 Year Old Summer Camps and 3-8 Year Old Summer Camp.
Summer Technique Classes & Workshops:
There are 4 Workshops intended for dancers that are rising 2nd graders and above that are also offered along with weekly Summer Technique drop-in classes for dancers rising 4th grade and above:
-June 11-13: Improv/Choreography Workshop
-July 9-11: Ballet/Modern/Contemporary Workshop
-July 23-25: Jazz/Musical Theater Workshop
-August 6-8: Hip Hop/Pop/Funk Workshop
Summer drop-in technique classes are offered all summer long for dancers of all levels age rising 4th grade all the way up to adults. They offer ballet, tap, jazz, modern, hip hop, funk, contemporary, body conditioning/stretching, pointe and more. This is the perfect time for your dancer to try something new and see if she likes it before registering for fall classes. For details, click here.
