By Smarty Guest Blogger Amie Berryhill, Palisades Episcopal School Summer Camp Director
Palisades Episcopal School Summer Programs are all about nurturing the mind, body and spirit of our campers!
Our staff of trained teachers will build up their minds and help children avoid the “summer slide” through daily math games, reading time and educational field trips. Campers will visit the public library each week to check out books related to the camp themes. We will travel to a variety of museums and planetariums! Older campers will learn the importance of strategy and financial responsibility through Connect Four and Monopoly tournaments!
We know that summer is a time for play! Camp Gryphon campers will strengthen their bodies through daily time at the pool, obstacle courses in our brand new recreational facility and a weekly trip to Sky High trampoline park! We also have a variety of sports camps available throughout the summer!
Our day-camp theme this year is “Summer of Service.” Campers will nourish their spirits while taking care of the world around them. We will build relationships with residents at nursing homes nearby through weekly bingo games, provide treats and toys for the animals of the Humane Society and brighten our little corner of the world by helping clean up local parks and creek beds. Don’t miss the chance to help your child learn the important role they play in making the world a better, more positive place.
Camp Gryphon is a traditional day camp that serves children ages 5-10 and runs Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
