Sing along and hear stories with Mr. Nigel during this weekly storytime at Joseph-Beth bookstore at SouthPark Mall. Targets preschool-age children. Arrive early to get a good seat.
Also at Joseph-Beth, This weekend is “Kid’s Bargain Book Blowout”. Over 10,000 books from beginning and intermediate readers to educational workbooks and young adult novels with prices starting at $1.50. 20% Off Preview Night – Golden Apple and Gives Back customers receive an extra 20% off all Kids Bargain Titles on Thursday, April 10th. Special guests include Misty Massey signing Mad Kestrel & The Blumenthal Performing Arts Center. Also, Classroom Central will be kicking off their JB book drive.
Charlotte Knights Opening Weekend

The Charlotte Knights will kick off their first home games of the season with fireworks after each game. The first 10,000 fans will get magnet schedules or calendars.

Spring Break Weathering Area Presentations
April 11, 1:00pm and 3:00pm
Each day, during Spring Break, Carolina Raptor Center will give special presentations in the weathering area. Meet and learn about some of our resident raptors! The cost is $5-$7. Cowan’s Ford Wildlife Refuge
Wetlands Journey
2329 Neck Road, Huntersville
April 12, 10:00am-noon
Look for frogs, salamanders and a variety of macro invertebrates in the refuge’s seldom seen wetlands area. Ages 6 and up and the cost is $3-$4.
