We got up close and personal recently with Charlotte Star Room when one of our little Smarties went for a voice lesson. Charlotte Star Room was so welcoming – they gave us the inside scoop on what goes on in a typical voice lesson. It was FANTASTIC and a dream come true for our future Smarty performer.
If you have a child or teen in choir or that loves to sing, or maybe you have one that just wants to learn more about the proper way to sing, you definitely need to check out Charlotte Star Room. Anyone and everyone can learn from them.
Alexis Jo Bruce, co-founder of Charlotte Star Room, ran the lesson. She was amazingly patient and sweet with our shy elementary school student. She immediately had her at ease as she began the lesson. Our little Smarty learned proper breathing, how to warm up, projection, presence, confidence and so much more. She was able to get on the microphone so she could hear the sound of her own voice, which was not only super cool, but also so very helpful.
If your child or teen is headed to the Charlotte Star Room, make sure to pick a song ahead of time that the child already knows and feels comfortable with. The student will warm up her voice, practice the song, be coached on the song, and, if you like, recorded and video taped. Charlotte Star Room can customize the lesson to suit your needs and desires, which we thought was pretty great.

This class will learn hands on the various aspects of what goes into being Director, Producer, Actor, Cinematographer, Sound Tech and Editor.
Acting Class:
Each student will receive one pro photo as well as a digital link to download individual on-camera work!!
4 week program: Get Ready for your next audition! We will work on Beginner Audition Skills & Techniques, Monologues, Scene & Dialogue Training, Commercial Audition Training, Vocal and performance techniques Stage presence and movement!
Instrumental Training:
We offer Piano & Guitar lessons where you will work on songs of your choice and get hands-on training to help you master your instrument while having fun.
