The newest rage at our house is the Bob Marley kids CD just released this June. It’s called “B is for Bob” and it has all the favorites! I probably bought it more for me than the kids but it turns out they totally dig it! They listen to it everyday and even surprised Daddy one evening by belting out some verses in the bath tub. This CD has the whole family grooving. I am blessed to be married to a wonderful man but a dancer he is not. I was kind of worried that my boys might take after their daddy and have no rhythem. (Don’t worry, I am not insulting him, it’s kind of a joke in the household.) Have you seen that movie Hitch, when Will Smith is trying to show his client, (Albert, I think) how to or NOT to dance? Well, that is the perfect example of my hubby. Especially, when Will says, “ Hey, you did not just bite that lip. Do not ever do that again.” Yes, the dreaded white man overbite. You can imagine my delight to see that the boys actually display something resembling rhythm. I love you BOB!
You cannot help to be in a good mood while listening to Jammin, Stir It Up and many more. I highly recommend buying this CD. We have dance sessions daily and this is never a disappointment. The boys get out their drums so it is quite the show. We have a drum that we brought back from South Africa and the boys love it. It has great sound and it’s just the perfect height for some jammin!
I found a similar drum on one of my favorite sites, Palumba. They have children’s Djembe drums for $19.99 and they also have rhythm sticks. This is a terrific site that specializes in organic, green built, hand-made children’s items that are made from natural materials. The items enable children to be creative and let their imaginations soar. Eighty percent of their toys are made in the USA, so BIG bonus! I love their play silks and the cherry walnut play stands are amazing! The play stand is on our wish list. You really need to check them out, they are beautiful. They are perfect for a castle or playhouse, whichever you choose. It is solid but can be dismantled in less than 5 minutes and you are able to transport it to your vacation home, the grandparents, etc. Okay, I am getting a little off track here but you get the point.
I bet your kiddos will love the music and it’s a great way to dance off some energy. You can find the “B is for Bob” CD on Amazon for $9.97. Enjoy!

I LOVE Bob Marley! How is this CD different from the greatest hits? I would love to get it for the kids.
The music itself is pretty much the same I think…..but is has a couple of songs like Three Little Birds that Laurie Berkner (sp?) sang as well. Hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
