School has started and I have officially moved into my car. I thought I spent a lot of time in there this summer with all the driving to and from beach vacations but nothing compares to now. Two kids, two different schools, two different start and finish times. Throw in various after school activities and my car turns into my mobile home. I feel like I am always looking at the clock to see exactly how late I can actually leave the house and still make it to carpool on time. Do I want to be first in line or 184th? Do I want to chat with my friends or blow in at the last minute having the teacher stare at me like I just grabbed the last cookie at snack time?
I have it down pat now. I like to cruise in right in the middle. I have found that if timed correctly I may actually give myself a few moments of peace and quiet. I keep a book in the car, I usually never get around to reading it but it is there to make me feel/seem less dumb in case any one happens to walk by. I play scrabble on my phone. I have also discovered that the vanity mirror on the visor is the best place in the world to pluck your eyebrows. The lighting is perfect. So I make sure to keep a pair of tweezers in there too. I sometimes clean the car while waiting. In the span of one week my Toyota can go from clean to disaster in a split second. Glitter, goldfish, and 74 hair rubber bands are strewn across the back. Why is it little girls completely undo their cute do’s as soon as they get in the car?
I do not mind being the chauffer. Kids say things to each other when all they see is the back of your head. They giggle, they fight, and they tell you secrets. This is special. Yesterday my oldest came home talking in a New York Accent (See attached video). Pure Entertainment. Thank you Carpool!
What do you do in carpool line?

OMG, she is YOU! I see comedy in her future:-)
So I too learned the eyebrow plucking trick since I have the worst lighting on the planet in my bathroom that desperately needs a makeover.
I run CSP through carpool lines. Seriously. It is my only free time.
Hysterical video. I always keep a tweezers in my car too. It IS the best lighting!
