Hostess: Molly Grantham is an Emmy-award winning anchor and investigative reporter in Charlotte. She is an author, wife and mom of three beautiful children. She spotlights local heroes with pediatric illness through #MollysKids, where she shares the stories of more than 100 kids a year who are facing tough medical battles. Mitchell, the inspiration behind Mitchell’s House, was featured in November 2013. Her efforts have raised awareness of medical conditions and the stories of sick children and their families. Molly was named “Charlottean of the Year” in 2020 by Charlotte Magazine.
Details: Children should bring their wish lists to share with Santa and Mrs. Claus! Free professional photos will be offered to all families who participate. The family will have all usage and printing rights for the photos. Mitchell’s Fund will provide a QR code to a private website where event participants can access and download their photos.
Proceeds: Money raised will benefit Mitchell’s House, a project of Mitchell’s Fund, which is a safe place that offers counseling and play therapy to children with serious illnesses, as well as their parents and siblings. When a child is diagnosed, it can impact the entire family and loved ones can become anxious, overwhelmed and exhausted. Mitchell’s House offers services regardless of a family’s ability to pay.
