Smarties, this is a MUST for the holiday season, Charlotte Youth Ballet’s Nutcracker is one of our favorite holiday treats! The Charlotte Youth Ballet brings to the stage its 40th annual holiday classic production of Tchaikosvky’s The Nutcracker featuring the choreography of Charlotte ballet icons, Gay Porter and Bridget Porter Young. Featuring more than 100 dancers, the production is a blend of international guest artists and youth dancers from across the greater Charlotte area. While true to the classic production, this choreography also offers unique twists to the fairytale that will delight and astound audiences of all ages. Following the show audience members will have the opportunity to get autographs from dancers as well as have photographs taken with performers including the Sugar Plum Fairy, The Nutcracker Prince and Clara!

Performances are Friday, December 3rd at 7pm, Saturday, December 4th at 2pm & 7pm and Sunday, December 5th at 2:30 pm. Special preview performances for students and seniors are on Friday December 3rd at 9:30am and 11:30am.
All shows are at the Dale F. Halton Theater on the CPCC main campus. Parking is free. Tickets range from $25-$35. CYB is a regional ballet company dedicated to preserving and promoting the art of classical ballet, empowering youth through the art of dance, and connecting aspiring youth dancers with professional dancers in high-quality productions for the Charlotte and surrounding communities.
Performance Theater & Parking:
All performances of The Nutcracker will be held at the Halton Theater in uptown Charlotte located at 1206 Elizabeth Avenue. Just inside the Overcash Building, the Halton Theater has three seating levels: beginning with the Front Orchestra at the same level as the stage and ascending upwards to the Rear Orchestra and Balcony levels. A limited number of box seats are also available. All seats offer excellent views of the stage.

Parking is available free of charge at the CPCC Faculty & Theater Deck, just behind the Halton Theater. The entrance to the parking deck is on 4th Street at 1225 E. 4th Street, Charlotte, NC 28204.
