After a year of delays due to the pandemic, Quest at Latta Nature Preserve finally opened to the public on a limited schedule this past weekend.
This 13,000 square foot facility explores the role of water in our lives and serves as the gateway to Mecklenburg County’s largest nature preserve: Latta Nature Preserve. It is also the site of Carolina Raptor Center’s new Raptor Trail at Quest, currently under construction.
Come meet our new mascot GAR and enjoy Mecklenburg County Park and Rec’s hands-on exhibit “Nothing Survives Without Water.” The gift shop is open and offering everything from drinks and snacks to nature-themed gifts and crafts from talented artisans. Borrow a fishing rod, grab some bait from the gift shop and put your N.C. fishing license to use. Bring a picnic lunch, sit on the patio and immerse yourself in nature while the stresses of life just melt away. All just 20 minutes from Uptown Charlotte!
