Learn the Ropes!

Experience English-style horseback riding lessons for by the natural beauty of Lake Wylie’s shoreline. YMCA Camp Thunderbird is now offering private horseback riding lessons – read on!

The certified instructors teach riders to:
-Groom
-Tack
-Trot
-Canter
-Jump

Students will start with the basics and can advance through levels over time. Equipment and safety gear are provided.

Ages: 6+

Cost: 4 sessions @60 minutes each. $300 YMCA Member/$340 Non-Member

Jen Plym is mom of four active kids from middle school to college. She and her best friend started Charlotte Smarty Pants as a daily blog in 2007 before social media even existed. Jen’s passion is connecting Charlotte parents with each other.
