By our Smarty friends at Providence Day School
Imagine your TK student learning about China, Germany, and Kenya, and then continuing on that global journey throughout Middle School and Upper School to gain the knowledge, skills, and character dispositions to make a difference in a rapidly changing world.
At Providence Day School, we have constructed a unique TK-12 curriculum framework, created and joined global networks for student exchanges, developed a wide array of international trips led by our own faculty, and developed the nation’s first global studies diploma. Among our accomplishments:
– We are the only school in North Carolina to be a member of Round Square International, an internationally-diverse network of more than 200 like-minded schools in 50 countries on six continents.
– Fifty-two of our 212 faculty members have completed Global Education Certificates, and 31 more are in progress.
– More than 200 of our students to date have graduated with a Global Studies Diploma.
– Faculty and staff bring students for up to six global trips offered during each academic year, including a recent journey for 15 students and three faculty and staff to complete service projects in Iceland this past June.
Providence Day prepares our students to be empathetic problem solvers and active global citizens. Our classrooms are places of discovery, where learning about diverse cultures and shared experiences creates connections to a larger humanity.
Please join us for an Admissions Open House or a personal campus visit.
