Who We Are
The Mecklenburg Area Catholic Schools (MACS) system is comprised of nine Catholic schools in the Greater Charlotte area, educating students from Pre-K to 12th grade. We produce leaders with strong faith in God and strong minds, who think critically and serve their communities. Our students are successful due to our faith-based, college preparatory curriculum which has resulted in a 100% graduation rate.
Our vision of “Together We Excel” recognizes that success comes for the collective only when each individual achieves success. We work together to meet students where they are, nurture their talents, and guide them to become the best version of themselves. We encourage students to be global citizens by actively participating to make the world a better place through service and by looking out for one another. We are committed to a diverse student body and give students opportunities to learn about different cultures and celebrate their own.
We invite you to discover all MACS has to offer and schedule a tour to see us in action.
Why We Excel
100% Graduation Rate | Faith and Service Learning | College Counseling | STEM & Robotics | Award-Winning Bands and Visual Artists | Championship-Winning Athletics
From building life-size engineering projects to designing costumes for musicals, our curriculum is designed to engage students with the material they study.
Bringing the classroom to life produces a lifelong love of knowledge and provides students with relevant experiences to prepare them for college and life after.
Elementary school students create STEM experiments, use iPads to study wildlife and the solar system, and produce television segments from their school’s broadcast desk. Middle school students engage in specialty classes, such as: Marketing, Finance, Graphic Design, Broadcast Journalism and more.
High school students are offered over 60 Advanced Placement (AP) and Honors courses. Each high school student receives a Mac laptop and may study college-level subjects, such as: Aviation, Economics, Engineering, Government and African American Studies.
Our strong sense of community ensures that students feel safe to tackle a challenging problem, ask questions and learn from their mistakes. We believe in the importance of creating character. Our educational philosophy emphasizes respect, confidence, collaboration and service.
