Two big events are coming up at our fave gym, Carolina Flipz, and if you’ve got a cheerleader or gymnast in the house, you’re going to want to mark your calendars. They’re at the PERFECT time for spring cheerleading tryouts.
Tuck Tech
The Tuck Tech is a three day training clinic to teach the PROPER technique for the back tuck, a major skill for cheerleaders and gymnasts. Participants can participate in one, two, or all three days. * You must have a back handspring to participate.*
April 6, 7, and 8 2:30-4:30 pm
One, Two or Three Day Options are available

Back Handspring Blitz
Next up is the Back Handspring Blitz, a back handspring intensive that will give your gymnast, dancer, cheerleader the jump start they need to getting their back handspring, which is harder than it looks! ;-) Just like the Tuck Tech, campers have the flexibility of doing 1, 2, or all three days. Each day the coaches break down the form and technique of the back handspring in order to prepare the mind for what the body is trying to accomplish. In order to prevent muscle soreness each day, they work on different drills, skills, and combinations in order to build up their strength. The BHS Blitz is how my daughter FINALLY, after years of trying, landed her back handspring. The coaches are unbelievably patient and kind – I can’t say enough awesome things about this blitz!

Carolina Flipz Open Gym – April 14 and 21 – 5pm – 7pm
Open Gym is a chance for all children ages 4yrs – 17yrs old, to work and focus on the gymnastics skills of their choice. Coaches are available throughout to instruct and spot your child if needed.
Members $10, non-members $15, or save money and ask about the 6 Month Pass.
