Smarty Alert: Spring Beauty Festival at Bluemercury

Smarties, Spring is around the corner and I am in a make-up rut! I need to branch out from my mascara and red lipstick routine. I am becoming the dreaded “predicatable” with my everyday look. Seriously, I am 40+ and I still have no clue how to wear make-up. In my day and age, it was all about blue eyeliner, frosted pink lipstick and caked on foundation with a touch of a pressed compact powder. Gosh, the thought of it makes me cringe. Today, I am a mascara and lipstick junkie. I am always on the hunt for the best mascara, the longest lasting red lipstick. I love make-up! I am AMAZED at what people can do with make-up today. A-MAYZZZZZ-ED! The application of make-up has become an art-form. I become mesmerized watching videos of women applying make-up start to finish (highlighting, contouring, winged eyeliner, layering eyeshadows to bring out the shape and color of their eye). For me, I am looking for the tricks to even skin tone, flush cheeks, long eyelashes and a pouty lip (basically, what every woman wants)….

Long story short, I need help! This is where Bluemercury comes in the picture. As I was walking aimlessly around the store, the kind sales lady, Christine, approached me and asked if I needed any help. (Why do you think I was shopping at Bluemercury that day -any wild guesses -red lipstick. Smarties, I am obsessed.) As we were talking, she mentioned that their store will be hosting a Spring Beauty Festival, March 1st-4th: 8 different make-up brands with their professional make-up artists giving (by appointment) make-up consultations. Once I inquired about the different brands, I knew this was too good not to share with you!

What: Spring Beauty Festival/ Free Makeup Consultations with your favorite makeup brands’ pro make up artists from Bobbi Brown, Laura Mercier, La Mer, Hourglass, Lune+Aster, Nars, Trish McEvoy and Dry Styling with a stylist from Moroccan Oil.
