Smarty Giveaway: Four (4) Tickets to the Southern Christmas Show

Holiday Wreath

** This giveaway is closed. The winner is Chrissie Rogan**

One of the BEST holiday events in the QC opens this week, Smarties, and we’ve got some free tickets for you! The Southern Christmas Show comes to the Park Expo & Conference Center November 9-19, and guess what? It’s turning 50 this year! That’s a half century of Christmas awesomeness. :-)

Smarty Rachel and I make the Southern Christmas Show an annual tradition. We get crazy excited every year for it – it’s seriously the best way to get into the Christmas spirit the “Southern way.” We always pick up the coolest hostess gifts (last year I stocked up on handmade peppermint baskets!), Christmas knick knacks, and presents for the fam while we’re there (it’s always so fun to also see what the “new” chevron is – we’re taking bets now, Smarties).

There are SO many beautiful Christmas decoration ideas throughout the expo center. We promise that if you weren’t ready for Christmas when you come to the show, you will be when you leave. One of the BEST parts is the mantel and door decorations right as you walk in. This year they’ve added a new spin to it: the mantels, doors and wreaths decorating competitions will be judged by the public via social media. Love that idea.

There be long-time exhibitors, as well as some new faces, exhibiting – click here for a full list. Here are some more details from the show on other favorites:

Christmas Tree Lane – Christmas Tree Lane features dozens of trees from the North Carolina mountains. The award-winning trees are each decorated by a talented designer with out-of-the-box holiday tree ideas.Santa with a kid

The Enchanted Village – Doll houses and miniature scenes are created and showcased by the National Association of Miniature Enthusiasts.

Model Trains – You’ll get the boys to endure rows of artisans with the promise to stop at the model trains :-).

Santa – Santa will be on hand to hear the holiday wishes of all kids. Photos are 1 for $10; 2 for $18; and 3 for $25, with proceeds benefitting the Shriners Hospitals for Children.

Holiday Morsels – Piping hot strudel, melt-in-your-mouth fruitcake and hand-dipped chocolates will be scattered about the show so come hungry.

Wear comfy shoes, bring a tote bag and a smile, and we’ll see you at the Southern Christmas Show!

I believe it will be polka dots. I would love to go to the Christmas Show this year with a couple of my girlfriends. Last year I volunteered for the non profit that I work for, but didn’t really get a good chance to look around. Thanks!
