Have y’all joined the Pokémon Go bandwagon?! It’s super fun, highly addictive and the rage of the summer for kids and parents alike. Lucky for us, our local #CLT businesses are catching on to the latest rage and are offering discounts if you want to play along. Local stores, restaurants, movie theaters, and other businesses are capitalizing on the Pokémon Go obsession that’s taking over the US! But we’re hanging with Brixx Pizza today, read on!
Here’s a little Smarty Scoop on what Pokémon Go is all about:
The Pokémon Go game allows players to capture, battle, and train virtual creatures, called Pokémon, who appear on device screens as though in the real world. All of this is done via your SmartPhone and makes use of GPS and camera. Pokémon Go users traverse their towns in search of Pokémon, and they hit up gyms, PokeStops and Lures all in search of capturing Pokémons.
The Brixx Pizza Pokémon Go Smarty Steal
There are lots of PokeStops and Gyms all around Brixx CLT stores. There are PokeStops in front of both Uptown and Foxcroft and gyms right in front of Blakeney and Birkdale. And, there is a Gym a block from Dilworth. Uptown, alone, has more than 10 Pokestops in ONE block … although please note, Brixx Uptown location is closed this week until Thursday due to maintenance. So don’t head uptown for this deal!
If a guest catches a Pokémon in front of/near the store, posts it and tags the Brixx location on social media and shows it to a server on Sunday or Monday (July 17-18), they’ll get a BOGO pizza (one per table). AND, if they’re after 10 p.m. either night (wanting to do some late night hunting), all pizzas and apps are BOGO!
