Happy Wednesday Smarties! Hopefully it will warm up and everyone can get out to enjoy one or hopefully many of the events in the Queens City this weekend. Join us for the Skyline Run, you can run the 5K, walk a 5K, run a mile with the kids or throw them all in you Baby Jogger for the 5K Championship. Afterwards, head over to the Greenway for the Kings Drive Art Walk. Beach Fest is back in Matthews, Bark in the Park is at Rural Hill and JJ’s Red Hots is having a Spring Fest. Get out and enjoy!

Kaye McGarry 5K Run, 5K Walk for Health, & 1K Family Fun Run. The first of nine races featured in the Run for Your Life Grand Prix series. An estimated 1,500 runners are expected to attend this family fun event which will support CPCC student scholarships and other student needs. The Skyline Run will feature 4 components, including a 5K run, Walk for Health, Family Fun Run and the Charlotte Baby Jogger 5K Championship.

Activities will include animal presentations throughout the day, farming demonstrations, crafts, and a kids’ hands-on chore area. In the chore area kids can milk the cow, churn butter, gather eggs, try the water bucket relay, and pull a wooden sled. Free with regular site admission ($7 for adults, $6 for seniors, $5 for students, ages 5 and under free).
