My big sis bought me this fab new Zella jacket for Christmas. When I first opened the Nordstrom box, I thought, hmmm, this is screaming Lululemon to me. Must do some Smarty investigating. Here’s what I found.
Zella is a collection of activewear for Nordstrom. Rumor has it Nordstrom hired a Lulu alum a few years back and that’s how Zella was born. Smarties, this stuff is cute. Really cute. And at a fraction of the Lulu price. That’s pretty Smarty to me!

I’m a Lulu lover, but am now taking a serious gander at Zella. I bought the crops and Z4 tee’s and they seem legit. They look and feel just like my beloved Lulus. And for at least $20 less than Lulu on each item, I’m thinking this may be a permanent switch. We’ll see how they hold up, but with Nordstrom’s backing, I’m pretty sure they will be just fine. You know what else is cool? Zella comes in plus sizes and kids sizes.
Smarties, meet Zella. I’m sure you’re going to love her.

I want to love Zella because the good Lord knows how much it would save me but I find the quality of the fabric different. Less substantial, more like Nike and Lulu had a love child. But I did see a woman at gymnastics with the cutest vest on which I was certain was Lulu and alas, Zella! So who knows, if Lulu keeps annoying me with their Luon Light (think see through) I will revisit my relationship :-). Thanks for the heads up.
I love the Lucy clothes, but there are no Lucy stores in Charlotte. I think they have some at Bevello in Blakeney. I think the quality is better than Lulu or Zella, but no free alterations.
Been a Zella fan for years! The clothes hold up really well. Pretty much wore a pair of black Zella yoga pants my entire pregnancy with baby #3 and they survived, and are still in the rotation three years later with no with strethcihing out, etc. Still a Lulu fan but Zella is right up there.
Have you ever considered about adding a little bit more than just your articles?
I mean, what you say is valuable and all. But imagine if you added some great graphics or video clips to give your posts more, “pop”!
