Smarties, we have a huge favor to ask of you and it will just take a minute or so of your time. As many of you may be aware, facebook changes their rules almost daily. Recently, facebook made changes to their algorithm that has made our page’s content almost a nonexistent part of our fans’ daily facebook timeline.
When you click “like” on our page, you may think that means your timeline will get all of our super important updates from Charlotte Smarty Pants. It definitely used to. But facebook changed the rules and is now 100% controlling what you see on your newsfeed. This is more than likely so facebook can monetize their gazillion users through their new “Promoted Posts” advertising plan. This is fine for a giant advertiser, but is really expensive for small communities like ours as we cannot pay every single time we want our fan base to see something that we post on our timeline.
So how can you help? It’s easy peezy. You just need to log onto your facebook, then find us at facebook.com/charlottesmartypants. Hopefully you have already liked us by now. If not, click like. Then hover over the “Liked” button until you see “Get Notifications” and “Show in News Feed” and make sure they are checked as shown below. And voila, you’re done!
Now you can be sure that you are in-the-know on all things trending in this Smarty community. Think giveaways, think tickets, think events, think “I need to chat with my closest pink & green gal pals” – you will now be fully informed. And we promise, we will never junk up your newsfeed.
