Charlotte Symphony Summer Pops Concerts

Summer Pops helps us kick off the season in Charlotte. Tickets are sold online and over the phone until 4 pm on Friday afternoons. Walk-up tickets go on sale on Sunday afternoon at 4 pm at three locations at the park . Gates will open at 5 pm; you cannot enter the park to reserve a spot until the gates open .
Prelude act begins at 7 pm; Charlotte Symphony begins at 8:15 pm . Food and beverage are permitted inside the park and for the comfort and safety of all guests, high-back/camping chairs, umbrellas, tents, pets, weapons and smoking are strictly prohibited inside the park. Cost is: Summer Pops Pass (Five Concerts) $35, Adults, $10 and Children under 18 are free.

Dinner and a Movie – Puss in Boots

Carolina Place is going Hollywood this summer, as the mall launches “Dinner and a Movie” on Saturday evenings in June and July. The lineup of family-friendly box office hits will air each Saturday from June 2 to July 28 (excluding July 7). The events take place in the grass courtyard directly beside REI, near the parking lot for the food court entrance. All summer long, families can take a break from cooking on the weekends and enjoy special dining offers from 5 – 9 p.m. at participating mall restaurants. On-site service includes meals from Chick-fil-A, cookies and tea from McAlister’s Deli and free popcorn, while supplies last. Pre-show entertainment begins at 7:30 p.m., with Radio Disney on site for two special Disney movie nights. Other nights will feature a variety of performers such as magicians and clowns. Movie pre-shows begin about 20 minutes prior to dusk, with the movies starting at sunset. The outdoor setup will include surround sound and a 23-foot, inflatable movie screen – the same size as a theater screen. Families are encouraged to bring blankets to create a comfortable seating area.
Disney Junior Celebrates Summer with “Jake and the Never Land Pirates: Summer Adventures”

Disney Junior celebrates summer with fun, interactive events themed around the hit series “Jake and the Never Land Pirates” hosted by Radio Disney at Simon Malls. Kids will receive bandanas and treasure maps, and set out on a pirate adventure to collect gold doubloons as they complete activities, like creating treasure chests, Pirate Pal coloring sheets, a ‘Never Land’ photo, and a ‘Look for Hook’ scavenger hunt. The Radio Disney Road Crew will provide entertainment and prizes. Cost is free.
