Join us Saturday, March 17 for the 1st Annual Cookies for Kids’ Cancer 5K and Bake Sale in Charlotte NC. We welcome any and all runners or walkers who are passionate about raising money to find a cure for pediatric cancer. And of course, even if you choose not to participate in the 5K, please come by and buy some baked goods and cheer on our participants. Make a difference by joining the mission to find a cure for pediatric cancer. There are many ways to support this event Cookies for Kids’ Cancer – register for the 5K or Fun Run, volunteer to bake for the bake sale or simply come out and buy baked goods to support this event. No effort is too small and every penny counts. Race fees are $10-$25.
16th Annual Charlotte Goes Green / St. Patrick’s Day Festival

The 16th Annual Charlotte Goes Green / St. Patrick’s Day Festival take place in Uptown Charlotte on Sat., 3/17/12 from 10:00am – 6:30pm. The festival will be held on Tryon St. between 3rd & 1st St. and will feature live Irish music, Irish dancers & a pipe & drum band, many Irish/Celtic vendors from across the U.S., plus other vendors, a large Celtic Kids Corner, lots of food & beverages & more. There is no admission fee. Come join us before and after the parade where everyone is Irish for a day!

We’re turning our whitewater river green to celebrate the St. Patrick’s Day holiday. Come and watch the only whitewater river in the world flow green at 1 p.m. We’ll also have live music throughout the afternoon featuring Larry Keel and Natural Bridge and Chatham County Line and a PowerBall Race.
We’ll also be selling off a fleet of our used mountain bikes starting at 9 a.m. on the morning of this event.
