I have a new love in my life. We just met in early September and it’s already serious! I know it’s only been one month but I have fallen hard. Goldfish Bread has done me a solid by coming into my life and putting a fun spin on making lunches. Every morning, I get up at the crack and I feel like that early 80’s Dunkin Donuts baker muttering “time to make the donuts”.
I only have two lunches and two snacks to pack so for those of you that do three, four (like Jen Plym) or five…I am in complete awe. I am not worthy.
Let me introduce you to my new love, Goldfish Bread! I know it seems so trivial that something like this could change my life for the better. This bread is made by Pepperidge Farm, the same people who make the Goldfish snack, and it is in the shape of Goldfish. Brillz! It comes in three varieties: white, 100% whole wheat and honey whole wheat. My children get so excited to have their sandwiches on this peppy bread.
If someone had a shred of a brain, they’d make bread shaped like trucks, animals, hearts, stars, etc. I would buy the fool out of those and start cheating on Goldfish Bread immediately!
Smarties, do you have any lunch tips to share?

Susan, I thought I was the only one who had declared my love for this bread. Love it! You are so witty!
Adding that to my cart RIGHT NOW!!
I love this bread too- such a great idea! Speaking of bread in other shapes, large cookie cutters work really well on sandwiches. You can buy them in any shape or size at Sur La Table in South Park Mall for about 99 cents. We have about a zillion of them and my daughter loves opening up her lunch to find a new shape. Clay cutters are fun too (in smaller sizes) and work well with sandwiches made on tortillas!
