My daughter spent her entire third year on this earth in a Princess dress. She has spent the better half of her fourth year serving tea to dolls. Ever since I can recall, she has drifted off to sleep while listening to a fairy tale. It almost makes me jealous when I think about her playtime just full of sparkly tiaras, romantic Princes, gorgeous castles, and above all, magic.
As an adult we don’t get to experience these moments of blissful dreams and uncompromising glamour very often. But, today, we can. Today a real Princess will walk down the aisle and marry her Prince. Maybe I’m just sentimental, but I am looking forward to watching this eventful marriage take place. I’m eager to see what Kate wears and watch her slowly walk towards her Prince. I find such romance and beauty in knowing the son of Princess Diana is all grown-up and prepared to take his place in history.
Today I am going to make a cup of tea and pour apple juice into a fancy saucer and watch my daughter light-up as a true Prince and Princess emerge from Westminster Abbey. I’m going to pause for a moment and let myself get lost in the Fairy Tale and the majesty of a dream. Today, one little girl got her wish. She will marry a Prince, dance in a castle, and wear a sparkly tiara. There is something so fun and enchanting about all of this. Maybe it is because I get to “play” for once and listen to the story, instead of reading it? I’m not sure, but I send my congratulations to William and Kate.
May they get their “happily ever after” . . .

It was a Disney fairy tale come true. What a beautiful ceremony, a stunning couple and sweet memories to share with my daughters!
