Good morning Smarties. It is a jam packed weekend. If you have never had a mammogram then swing by Chick-fil-A on Woodlawn, grab a biscuit/sandwich, climb on the bus and get a digital mammogram with Charlotte Radiology. The consignment season is picking up steam with Kidz Exchange and several other sales this weekend. You can head to the Speedway, the Mint Museum or the Whitewater Center for family fun, the key is to get out and Enjoy!

And Then They Came For Me

And Then They Came for Me is a unique theatrical experience that tells the real stories of Anne Frank and Holocaust survivors Ed Silverberg and Eva Schloss. The intersecting family histories of these three young people paint a vivid picture of life before and during World War II. Ed appears in Anne’s famous diary as her first boyfriend, while Eva and Anne were the same age and grew up in the same apartment building. Like the Franks, Eva and her family went into hiding and were eventually betrayed to the Nazis. Weaving videotaped interviews of Ed and Eva with scenes in which actors recreate their lives, And Then They Came for Me has been acclaimed by audiences and critics in productions across the United States.

The USNWC will “Go Green” as we turn our whitewater river green. With a full day of festivities planned, you won’t want to miss out on seeing the only whitewater river in the world dyed green in honor of Saint Patrick’s Day. Live music by the Mike Strauss Band will provide the soundtrack to the day’s events as we turn the world’s largest man-made whitewater river shamrock green at 1 p.m. Additional festivities will include a One Mile Walk/Jog and a Powerball race. Cost is free but don’t forget, parking is $5.
