Happy Wednesday Smarties. This is the weekend to get ready for the holidays. Memory Walk- A Walk to End Alzheimer’s

The Alzheimer’s Association Memory Walk is the nation’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer care, support and research. This inspiring event calls on volunteers of all ages to become Champions and raise funds to support the fight against Alzheimer’s. Rural Hill Sheep Dog Trials

Witness more than 100 Border Collies compete in working farm dog tasks to earn points for precision in the time allowed. Family activities include the Dog Sport Demo Field, inflatables, hayrides, mazes, and the 1760’s Davidson Family Homestead site. Non-competing dogs are welcomed but must remain leashed and under their owner’s control.

Northlake Mall will transform into a magical winter wonderland with the debut of the Ice Palace. Brimming with the magic of winter and the essence of holiday snow globes, the soaring 30-foot Ice Palace appears to be literally carved from ice. The exhibit features highlights from this holiday season’s highly anticipated movie, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader from Twentieth Century Fox and Walden Media. Bring your entire family to be a part of this very special event. At 6:30, we will be offering refreshments for all. The first 200 families will receive a special gift. Kids Night in Nature

Miss Nelson Is Missing

Miss Nelson’s class is the worst behaved in the whole school. Spitballs flying across the room, paper airplanes sailing every which way and uncontrollable children send the gentle, long-suffering teacher, Miss Nelson, over the edge. But the students of Room 207 are in for a surprise when Miss Nelson turns up missing and is replaced by Viola Swamp, a scary substitute teacher who loads them down with homework and wields her ruler like a sword! In desperation, the students set out to find their beloved Miss Nelson … but will they ever get her back? Lessons of appreciation and respect are taught with music and dance in this one hour musical based on the book by the same name. Ages 5 and older. Cost is $9-$10.

I've been to the Mint to Be Yours sale in the past and they have great things that are reasonably priced!
Our family saw "Miss Nelson is Missing" last Sunday and it was FABULOUS!! A great family activity! Highly recommend it.
