Happy Wednesday! The question of the day is “how much longer will everything be coated in green?” Love spring but ready for the pollen to go away. There is a great variety of events around town this weekend from the Lollipops concert to the return of live music at some of our area shopping destinations.
I am going to jump ahead to next Tuesday, April 28th. Charlotte Smarty Pants has been invited to be part of a very special event, Walk the Course Against Domestic Violence. The Avon Foundation and the PGA Tour Wives Association are working with the Quail Hollow Championship to raise funds and bring awareness to an issue that affects thousands in our state everyday. We want to blanket the course in our smarty pink and green and we cannot do it without your help. Walk the Course Against Domestic Violence is a non-competitive, family-friendly event that will raise critical funds and awareness to help end the cycle of domestic violence in North Carolina. Join the CSP team to walk 9 holes (2.5 miles) or 18 holes (5 miles). Funds raised will be distributed by the Avon Foundation to outstanding organizations in the Charlotte area, including the United Family Services Shelter for Battered Women and The Shelter of Gaston County. Smarties call of your friends and make this your girl’s night out. For $20-$25 (what you would spend on apps. and a couple of glasses of wine) you can help make a difference in the lives of many and enjoy a great walk, the company of friends and a beautiful golf course! Click here to join us. Remember the Smarty password is “livingsmarty”.
