The Charlotte Baby Boot Camp is held at Huntingtowne Farms Park with Christine Slack. But don’t let her last name fool you. Christine is a certified personal trainer and proud mother of 2 year old Ali. She earned All-American status as a collegiate middle distance runner. In her pre-baby life, she was an American History teacher and high school Track and Cross Country coach. After Ali was born in the summer of 2006 she learned first hand the difficulties of staying fit while tackling the challenges of motherhood. She looks forward to helping new moms integrate fitness and wellness into their lives.
I have personally attended the class several times. She pushes you just hard enough to get an excellent workout without overdoing it or hurting yourself. She does a wonderful job of working with everyone in the group, giving the personal attention you would receive from a one on one session at the gym. Most exercises are divided up by level I and level II so that the workout fits your needs. Classes are held on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings (sometimes in Southpark Mall, pending weather).
Beyond the great workout, what I enjoyed the most was meeting a wonderful group of mothers all striving to stay healthy. The group is so inviting and friendly, it makes the exercise truly fun. And fifty-five minutes of sprints, sits-ups and push-ups seemed to fly by!
Baby Boot Camp offers more than just fitness. They have other fun activities such as a book club, girls nights out, play dates at Ray’s Splash Planet and storytime at Joseph Beth’s just to name a few.
South Charlotte Baby Boot Camp just had its year anniversary this January and to celebrate they are offering a special rate offer – $50 per month. What time is the bootcamp class on M, W, & F am?
Baby Boot Camp classes meet at 10:30 on Mondays and Wednesdays and at 9:00 am on Fridays. Saturday “family” classes will be returning in March.
I have been going to Baby Boot Camp since my daughter was six weeks old and I love it! I got back into shape and have made lots of friends:)
Joining BBC was one of the best things I have ever done. I joined when my daughter was 7 weeks old and now she is almost 1! Her BBC family will help her ring in her bday. Besides getting into shape (I weigh 10lbs less than I did before I got pregnant) I met most of my Mom friends. Love, love, love it. Thank you, BBC.
I also LOVE Baby Boot Camp. I just started in Jan. and I already feel more fit! The girls are so much fun and really made me feel welcome. It’s been the perfect way for me to get out with my baby and get motivated to work out!!!
