The Girls on the Run WonderGirl 5K is a celebration for all the girls who have participated in Girls on the Run along with their family and friends. The WonderGirl 5K is an event for everyone — girls, women, men and boys are all welcome to participate in the WonderGirl 5K. Come out and celebrate being YOU! To register go online to http://www.gotrcharlotte.org/ or in person at Run For You Life, Dilworth. This is the annual fundraiser for Girls on the Run of Charlotte. The proceeds from the WonderGirl 5K benefit young girls who may need financial assistance to participate in the program.

As one of the premier running events in the region, the Twilight 5K Road Race & Walk is unique because it is the only week-night sporting event that brings together competitive runners, non-competitive runners and walkers, highly-trained athletes and hundreds of spectators. The Twilight 5K Road Race & Walk also features an array of entertainment and fun-filled activities for the entire family – including a Kids Fun Run immediately following the 5K Race. A special highlight of the race is the annual Spotlight Competition between the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office and the Charlotte Fire Department. Pre-Race Activities and On-Site Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. Benefits Right Moves for Youth club. The mission of Right Moves For Youth is to provide the motivation for its club members in grades 4-12 to succeed in school, improve their quality of life, and become responsible members of society.
